Division 10 daffodil cultivars have many of the characteristics of the petticoat daffodil, (N. bulbocodium), the dominant parent in their ancestry. Bulbocodium cultivars have just one flower to a stem; perianth segments that are small and insignificant compared with the dominant funnel shaped corona; anthers that are attached more or less centrally to the filament of the stamen, which is curved, as is the pistil's style. These are small daffodils, usually only 4-6" tall. Most of the petticoat daffodils are hardy in zones 6-8, some only to zone 7.
