Google Search
Use Google to search Floridata's all of our content pages. Use the classic search if your search is limited to the Plant Profiles in our Plant Encyclopedia. Later in the year we'll launch a new set of search and plant finder tools as part of the Floridata2.0 release.
Classic (Plant Profile) Search
Floridata's old search looks only at the Plant Encyclopedia database so it is still useful if you are searching for a specific Plant Profile.
Enter a name (genus, species or common name) to locate a plant in Floridata. It must be a single word with no spaces. Use just a part of a name if you are unsure of the spelling (example: enter "hydr" to display a list of all hydrangeas). Using two words like "Hydrangea macrophylla" will cause the search to fail and no results are returned (that's why we got Google!).
