Jaret Daniels
Jaret C. Daniels is an insect ecologist, nature photographer and avid gardener. For the past nine years, he served as manager of the Boender Endangered Species Laboratory at the University of Florida where he worked on the captive propagation, recovery and conservation biology of several threatened and endangered butterfly species in Florida and the Caribbean. Currently, he is acting Curator of Butterflies for Butterfly Kingdom Conservatory in Hilton Head, South Carolina. Jaret received a B.S. in biology from St. John's University in Minnesota and a Ph.D. in Entomology from the University of Florida. Dr. Daniels has spoken throughout the southeastern U.S., and published over 30 scientific papers, books and popular articles on butterfly biology, behavior, conservation, gardening, and related topics.
